I jusr reported that Eidos have been bought by Square Enix due for takeover in April. This is becuase Eidos' shareholders have decided that it's a good idea to sell the company, most likely because of some financial trouble, as is the case with most other franchises. Though whatever issues Eidos were dealing with, it seems that they have still succeeded to make a pretty decent game in Batman Arkham Asylum. At least that's what this new trailer suggests.

Another One Bites The Dust
In these dires times of recession companies everywhere are closing their doors and shutting up shop and up until a few months ago critics claimed that the video games industrywould be unaffected by the terrible economy. Though it is now apparent that the reality is in fact the exact opposite, with more and more developers falling prey to this financial disaster. It seems that Eidos (the folks behind the Lara Croft games)are the latest publishers to go down as they have been bought by the Japanese company Square Enix (the creators of Kingdom Hearts). It really is a shame as many of us loved playing their wonderful open-world FPS Far Cry 2 and had hoped that there was a sequel in the pipeline. I bid them good luck and farewell for their new home at Square Enix.

Oh No Not Again!
On Thursday I told you about a major mishap at shopping site Amazon that revealed the plot for Mass Effect 2 and it has been made clear that leaks of gameplay and information are quite a common factor in the cut-throat industry of video games. Why do I say this oyu ask? I have the answer to that question as below there is a video of leaked gameplay from upcoming PS3 exclusive Uncharted 2 : Among Thieves.

Sorry about the not-so-perfect quality of the video.
Why not pre-order Uncharted 2 from Amazon?
What do you think of the gameplay in the video? Good, bad or just plain ugly? Put your opinion in the comments box below.

Mass Leak On The River Amazon
To start off this post off I should really say thank you to the folks at Amazon for giving me this juicy info for this post. So thanks a bunch Amazon!
Let me explain...
A couple of days ago some foolish person at Amazon published the plot for Mass Effect 2 on the shopping site. In the space where Amazon post a pragraph telling you a little bit about the product, for Mass Effect 2 they have done exactly that only where they should have put a small xdescription of the game the have instead posted the plot:
"The second chapter in the Mass Effect trilogy takes you to the darkest reaches of space, where you must uncover the mystery behind the disappearance of humans across many worlds. Prepare yourself for a suicide mission to save mankind. Travel the galaxy to assemble a team of soldiers and combat specialists, and launch an all-out assault on the heart of enemy territory."
My guess is that Mass Effect (1+2) developers BioWare won't be too happy about this!
Like the sound of the game? Why not pre-order it from Amazon?
Thankful for the leak? Or do you think that it shouldn't have happened in the first place?Say your thoughts in the comments box below.

I Told You So
When I was younger my sister and I would always wind each other up. I would hide her stuff and she would hide mine, I would say that she smelt of poo, she would say it back. However, the most prominent way that we would annoy each other was to say 'I told you so'. It is here today on System Fail News that I title my post with that infamous phrase for a very delightful reason.
Do you remember last month when I told you some juicy gossip regarding Mass Effect 2?Well, the cunning developers Bioware (the guys behind both Mass Effect games) have just made this teaser trailer for Mass Effect 2 public.

Ali Or Tyson?
Who would win a match between Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson? That is the very same question that developers EA Canada asked gamers not long ago. The team over there recently released this intriguing video set to entice the masses like Barack Obama making a speech. I loved Fight Night ROund 3 with its seductive graphics and its astonishing cast of boxers, so if Fight Night Round 4 can match its predecessor or even do better then FNR4 will surely fly off shelves like hot cakes when it's released this summer.
